The Gosar family has been producing fine food in America since Grandpa Frank came from southern Austria in 1900. Now the sixth generation of family sausage makers, Klayton, is producing European-style sausage with no preservatives, no nitrites, no additives, no fillers and no MSG.

The Gosars use only USDA-inspected pork shoulders and freshly mixed real spices and wine — no extracts. The sausage is 85 percent lean and lower in salt, fat and water than similar products. "We never use trim pieces, fat-soaking fillers, artificial flavoring extracts or other money-saving shortcuts in our sausages."
